She purchased Park City Veterinary Clinic in 2022 and hopes to continue to grow the practice and provide the highest quality veterinary care serving Lincoln County and surrounding areas.

Laura began working in a vet clinic during high school. She quickly realized she had a passion for helping animals. While continuing to work at the vet clinic, she enrolled in Columbia State’s vet tech program. This dedication of basically having two jobs paid off when she got her license. She was blessed to be able to purchase her grandmother's house where she lives with her husband and two kids. She has 3 dogs, 2 cats, and her pride is her chicken coop that has 10 hens who give her fresh eggs every day. Laura’s smile and positive energy are a bright spot for all our staff not to mention the clients.

Amanda graduated from the University of Tennessee at Martin in 2020 with 2 bachelor degrees, one in veterinary technology and the other in pre-veterinary medicine, She became a LVT in 2021 and has been a technician for almost 4 years. In her spare time she loves to go visit her two nephews and niece and spend time with her family and friends. She loves being outdoors and finds any excuse to be on the go. She has a 6 year old cat named Captain she rescued from UTM. Amanda’s bubbly personality and infectious laughter is sure to be heard by the clients as they move through the building. It is never a surprise when Amanda bursts into either a random verse or a dance move.

Jessica came on board as our practice manager in 2022. She is learning this job as she goes, but she is enjoying the challenge. She has a Masters in Library Science from the University of Tennessee, but stumbled into the vet industry about 10 years ago and can’t imagine doing anything else. She is married and lives on a small farm with 2 horses, 3 dogs and 2 cats. She enjoys visiting her daughter in Nashville, but if she is at home she is either quilting or planting flowers.

Danielle joined our team last year. She moved back to Lincoln County in 2021 and worked for the school system. When she started at PCVC it was her first experience working in the vet industry and she gladly took on the challenge. She is a mother to 3 teenagers, 2 girls and a boy. She owns 3 Dachshunds, Dutton, Pippa, and Emmy Kate. In her spare time, she spends time with kids and puppers. She enjoys crafting and shopping (especially at Hobby Lobby). We call her Mama Bear because she is the one who looks out for everyone else and checks on them if need be.

Monica came to us from a clinic in North Alabama where she had worked with Dr Jones previously. Monica has worked in the vet care industry for 33 years. She is our year round Halloween fan. She lives on a farm with her husband, her very spoiled 2 dogs, and her 2 Devon Rex cats. She loves to trail ride and has 5 horses that she also rides in parades. Any other free time Monica enjoys painting and watching her niece and nephew run in track meetings. Monica says she’s allergic to Christmas cheer so we make sure to blast the Christmas music around here at random times. We are determined to unGrinch her!

Dakotah joined PCVC last summer out of high school. She has learned so much in the past year that she applied to and got accepted into Columbia State’s Vet Tech Program this fall. On days she isn’t in class you can find her working here at the clinic. She has 5 pet fish, but also helps her grandmother take care of her Boxer Chloe. She likes kayaking and hanging out with friends.

Gnette has worked with animals pretty much her whole life. We tease her that she works with them at the clinic so she doesn’t take them all home with her. She has lived all over thanks to her husband's military career, but once he retired she found a farm here in Fayetteville to raise their daughter who is now a senior in college. Gnette is trying to be like Noah because she has 4 dogs, 12 cats, 4 horses, 6 goats, a sheep, and a ferret on her farm, not to mention an unknown number of chickens. If there is an animal that needs a home chances are it will end up at her house. She loves watching her daughter play soccer. Oh, did we mention she also drives a school bus? Yep, Gnette stays very busy so we are never sure if she is coming or going, but we all love her energetic spirit. She is up for any task around the clinic and keeps us all in stitches with her antics. If she ever has any free time she loves quilting.

Emily is our newest addition to the Elk River Vet family. She has worked with several boarding facilities in the past, but a vet clinic is new territory. She has enthusiastically jumped in with both feet learning how we operate. She has a real love for animals and owns 3 large dogs of her own. If she had a bigger house she and her husband would adopt even more. In her spare time she enjoys photography and specializes in equine photography.

Every clinic needs a dog in house to love on, correct? Well Nellie is that dog for PCVC. She is a Boston Terrier owned by Dr Strope. She loves to play tug of war, chase squirrels (unsuccessfully so far), and play with every dog she meets. She is a ray of sunshine when we have a hard day. Don’t worry because you won’t find Nellie running loose in the clinic. She stays in the back with her G’ma Jessica.

Animal Health Team Fun!
